Terms of Service

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 to create an editor account. You are responsible for keeping your login private and for activity under your account. Clients can open a review link, comment, and pay without creating an account.

Your videos

You keep ownership of the videos, logos, and text you upload. You confirm you have the rights needed to upload them and to show them to the client you invite. DraftGate may store, transcode, watermark, and stream that material only so the service can run. Do not upload anything illegal, infringing, or harmful.

Plans and fees

• The Free plan includes 2 active projects, the default watermark, and a 5% DraftGate fee on each unlock. That fee comes out of the price you set. It is not added on top of what the client pays.
• Pro is $7.99 per month. It includes up to 10 active projects, custom watermarks, analytics, view counts, and a 0% DraftGate fee on unlocks.
• Stripe charges its own card-processing fee on payments. That fee is separate from DraftGate's platform fee.

Client payments

The client pays the price you set, through Stripe Checkout. When the payment succeeds, the clean file becomes available for download. Preview files stay watermarked. If you have not connected a payout account, the payment stays held on DraftGate. After you connect one, your share is sent to that Stripe account. Stripe then pays your bank on Stripe's schedule. DraftGate does not send those payouts instantly.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Pro renews monthly until you cancel it in Settings. Cancellation takes effect immediately and your account returns to the Free plan. The current month is not refunded, except where the law requires a refund. Projects you already created stay in your account. You cannot create new ones past the Free limit of 2 active projects.

Refunds

An unlock is a payment for a digital file. DraftGate does not automatically refund an unlock after the clean file is released. If a charge is disputed, Stripe handles the dispute, and a lost dispute can be deducted from the related payout. Contact support@draftgate.app if a payment went through and the file did not unlock.

Stopping the service

You can stop using DraftGate at any time. DraftGate can suspend an account that breaks these terms, including accounts used to upload material you do not have rights to. The watermarked preview is a lower-resolution copy. It is not a guarantee against copying.

Liability

DraftGate is provided as available. Video processing can fail or time out on very long files. DraftGate is not liable for lost profits, lost client relationships, or indirect damages, to the extent the law allows that limit. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be waived, including consumer rights where they apply.

Changes

These terms can be updated by posting a new version on this page. Continuing to use DraftGate after the update means you accept the new terms. If a dispute cannot be solved by email, it is handled under the laws that apply to the operator of DraftGate, without taking away mandatory protections in your country.
